Type of Property

In a region as diverse as the Languedoc Roussillon and its near neighbour, the Midi Pyrenees, every type and size of property is available.

From mountain cottages or ski chalets to beach-side villas and apartments. From chateaux and manoirs to village houses and holiday homes. From vineyards and farms to maisons de vignoble and maisons de maitre.

From a total ruin needing complete restoration, a period home needing careful renovation or something that simply needs re-designing and re-decorating, The Languedoc House can help you find it.

The Home

a lovely house in a hillside village
The Languedoc House can help you discover a network of private contacts, notaires, the internet, local publications and local knowledge about the Languedoc-Roussillon and Midi Pyrenees areas that will enable you to find and locate interesting properties usually long before they ever see the inside of an estate agent's window (and at a much lower price).

The Garden

Because the Languedoc and Midi Pyrenees get more than 300 days of sunshine a year, your garden becomes just as important as your home. Our close working relationship with Alfresco, the leading garden design and creation company in South West France means that we can also manage the transformation of all your outdoor spaces with pools, terraces, summer kitchens, spas, decking and of course, magnificent planting schemes.

The Purchase Process

Although the process of purchasing a property in France is quite different from the UK, there is no need to find it frightening.

From the opening negotiations and price agreement, to the initial ‘compromis de vente’ when the basis of the sale is established and the deposit is paid, right through to the final ‘acte de vente’ when you take ownership of the property (and then start to insure it in your own right), The Languedoc House will ensure the smoothness of the transition, often using English speaking Notaires, should it prove beneficial to you.
